This article aims to discuss the relationship between Nietzsche and politics. The German philosopher is generally seen as a thinker who fiercely criticized the politics of his time, but who possesses no practical proposal. Although the philosopher reinforces this image when he declares himself apolitical, the text shows in what sense Nietzsche is apolitical and even anti-political, and reveals the emergence of a new meaning for politics.

Nietzsche vale-se nada extemporaneamente de uma ambiciosa narrativa histórico-dialética, tipicamente jovem hegeliana, para enquadrar/valorar a Modernidade, elevar sua própria filosofia a uma altura incontrastável e encontrar para si um lugar absolutamente superior e único, que lhe autorize como Crítico absoluto e Destino, tendo em última análise como alvo principal (típico do seu tempo alemão) o "filisteu", o indivíduo humano comum e aquilo que politicamente lhe corresponde: a sociedade civil e a democracia. Nietzsche, by no means extemporaneously, resorts to an ambitious historic-dialectical narrative, typically young Hegelian, to frame/ evaluate Modernity, elevate his own philosophy to unmatchable heights and find for himself an absolutely superior, unique position which authorizes himself as absolute Critic and Destiny, having ultimately as his main target (typical of his German times) the "philistine", the common human individual, and that which politically corresponds to her/him: civil society and democracy. That does not exclude our interest in his remarkable cultural criticism, his non-reductionist, romantic, naturalism, his contributions to the critique of "Platonism" and "Cartesianism".

o presente texto busca desconstruir o lugar-comum de que Platão é, tão somente, o principal adversário de Nietzsche. Ao analisarmos o percurso da reflexão nietzschiana, veremos que o filósofo, desde sua juventude, e com o progressivo auxílio das ferramentas de análise fisiológica e psicológica, jamais confundiu o platonismo com o homem e legislador político que foi Platão, recebendo dele, inclusive, a influência decisiva no projeto da "grande política". Veremos, paralelamente, que apesar de se considerar como o único herdeiro crítico do filósofo grego, considerado como um criador de novos valores, existem diferenças nos projetos políticos de ambos os filósofos, sobretudo no derradeiro período da reflexão nietzschiana, por meio do pensamento do eterno retorno do mesmo e da leitura do Código de Manu.

The present text seeks to deconstruct the commonplace that Plato would be once and for all Nietzsche's chief adversary. In analysing the route of nietzschean thinking, we'll see that the philosopher, since his youth, and with the progressive aid of the physiological and psychological analysis as a tool, never confused Platonism with Plato as a man and legislator, receiving from him even the decisive influence to the "Great Politics" project. Parallel to this, we'll have that, despite considering himself as the sole critical heir of the Greek philosopher, reputed as a creator of new values, there are in fact some differences in the political projects of both philosophers, notably in the finishing period of nietzschean reflection, with the eternal recurrence of the same and the reading of the Manu's Code of Law.

Para compreender as análises da política por Nietzsche é necessário compreender sua análise da moral cristã. Limitadas concepções do que sejam "bom" e "mau" sustentam as demandas por proteção, paz, longevidade. Para ser avaliado como bom, o governo deve prometer o cuidado das condições da mera existência. Assim, Nietzsche avista a política de sua época conduzindo adiante homens debilitados. Por pensar a política como instrumento para elaboração de cultura, sua tarefa consistiria em fortalecer o homem e seus modos de organização do viver em comum. Neste sentido, a genealogia da moral e o projeto de transvaloração dos valores representam um desafio a todos que se propõem a pensar a política.

To understand the Nietzsche's analysis of politics is necessary to understand his analysis of Christian morality. Limited conceptions of what constitutes "good" and "bad" sustain the demands for protection, peace, longevity. To be rated as good, government must promise the care of the conditions of mere existence. Thus, Nietzsche sees the politics of his time conducting forward debilitated men. Because conceives politics as a means for development of culture, its task would be to strengthen the man and his ways of organize the living together. In this sense, the genealogy of morals and the project of transvaluation of values represents a challenge to all who intend to think of politics.

A tese central deste artigo é que Nietzsche desenvolveu um projeto eugenista, justificando-o por considerações maquiavelianas. Por eugenismo, entendemos uma ideologia política preconizando o controle da reprodução a serviço de uma imagem normativa do homem. A primeira parte (I) procura estabelecer a pertinência histórica dessa definição. Em seguida, argumentamos em favor da existência de um eugenismo nietzschiano (II). Essa interpretação é fundamentada por textos publicados e póstumos, assim como pelas fontes eugenistas de Nietzsche, das quais priorizamos os autores contemporâneos, sem omitir Platão. Por fim, a terceira parte (III) coloca em evidência um certo maquiavelismo do eugenismo nietzschiano, segundo o qual seria preciso reprimir a compaixão em nome de um fim superior.

The central thesis of this paper is that Nietzsche developed a eugenical project, which he justified through Machiavellian considerations. By eugenics is meant a political ideology aiming at controlling reproduction to serve a normative image of man. The first part (I) tries to establish the historical relevance of this definition. I then argue in favor of the existence of a Nietzschean eugenics (II). This interpretation rests on published and posthumous texts, as well as on Nietzsche's eugenical sources, among which I focus contemporary writers without omitting Plato. Finally, the third part (III) brings to light a certain Machiavellism of Nietzsche's eugenics, according to which repressing one's pity would be needed in order to achieve a higher goal.

This paper aims to analyse the statute of the subject in Nietzsche. For this purpose, it investigates the device of a self-observation provided by the "I", which consists in a mapping of the "self in itself"; on a theoretical level, it explores a "retreat" in relation to Kant, concerning the dissolution of the subject of the metaphysical tradition; and anticipates the point that the subject is an articulation between the Ich and the Selbst, in such a way that the understanding of the subject allows to enlighten the specific connection between these two realities.

Neste trabalho, realizamos uma aproximação entre as cosmologias científicas não singulares (sem a singularidade inicial, o big bang), especialmente os modelos cíclicos, e o pensamento do eterno retorno de Nietzsche. Além disso, sugerimos respostas para o porquê da busca por "provas" científicas do eterno retorno feita pelo filósofo na década de 1880.

In this work we have carried out an approach between the nonsingular scientific cosmologies (without the initial singularity, the big bang), specially the cyclic models, and the Nietzsche's thought of the eternal recurrence. Moreover, we have pointed out reasons for the Nietzsche's search for scientific proofs about the eternal recurrence in the decade of 1880's.

O objetivo do texto é analisar o que denominamos projeto crítico de superação da compreensibilidade, a partir de três hipóteses: a) a temporalização do pensamento, remontando-o às condições individuais do emprego de um conceito, um signo, uma ação, etc.; b) essa individualidade do pensamento implica em compreendê-lo de modo fluido, de modo que tão logo se alterem as condições individuais do emprego de um conceito, altera-se também seu sentido; c) Nietzsche não parte mais da vontade incondicional de ser compreendido e, sobretudo, universal e univocamente compreendido, mas sim da hipótese de que "não se quer apenas ser compreendido quando se escreve, mas sim e de certa forma também não ser compreendido".

This paper aims to analyze what we call as the critical project of overcoming the understandability based on three hypotheses: a) the temporalization of thought, taking it back to the individual conditions of use of a concept, a sign, an action, etc.; b) this individuality of thought implies in understanding it in a fluid way, such that as soon as the individual conditions of use of a concept are altered, so is its meaning, c) Nietzsche no longer departs from the unconditional desire of being understood and, above all, universally and unequivocally understood, but rather from the hypothesis that "one does not only wish to be understood when writing, but in fact and in a certain way one may also wish not be understood".
